Why seek professional assistance?

There are many reasons people decide to seek some additional support. Often a personal crisis motivates a person to reach out for help, but sometimes it is simply the time to make a change in your life. A chance to be a better you.
If you:
- Feel ‘stuck’ or are ‘struggling’, or
- Would like to change a particularly unhelpful outlook, trait
behaviour, or - Find you are struggling with a personal trauma or loss, or
- Would like to review and revise your personal values, goals and
ambitions,
now may be the perfect time to seek professional support.
What to expect in your first session

First appointments begin with informal introductions and a brief discussion about your concerns. These are primarily a way for us both to get to know each other and share expectations. I will typically take about ten-fifteen minutes to introduce myself and my practice. We will review policies and confidentiality before we discuss any questions you may have. If you feel comfortable in working together I will ask you to sign a Practice and Confidentiality Agreement before we begin our work together.
